Madhya Pradesh to See International Investments at EXPO 2020, Dubai

Madhya Pradesh is all set to witness a global audience of investors as it presents its attractive business environment and the sea of opportunities in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, tourism, textiles, food processing, automobiles, and FMCG, at the India Pavilion of EXPO 2020, Dubai.

The Madhya Pradesh week will continue till December 9. Ministers from the Madhya Pradesh government as well as other prominent state officials flagged off the events for global investors.

Prospective investors and representatives of large MNCs will meet with a senior-level delegation of 12 members, headed by Mr. Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, Minister of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Government of Madhya Pradesh, to explore the avenues of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Madhya Pradesh.

During the week, investors from around the world visiting the Indian Pavilion will be able to listen to industry experts telling them about the merits of investing in Madhya Pradesh.

The state is the nexus of many industries and has seen huge investments in sectors such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, automobile, soya processing, agriculture equipment manufacturing, food processing and textiles.

After connecting with the investors, the delegation will meet the representatives from the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM). It is the world’s leading platform for attracting FDI and is an initiative by the UAE’s Ministry of Economy.

The delegation will also be meeting crucial members of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, the People of Indian Origin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PIOCCI), and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce. The industrial capacity of Madhya Pradesh will be showcased to leaders of various corporates from Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai.

High-level state officials who will also be attending the Madhya Pradesh week include Mr. Sanjay Kumar Shukla, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Mr. Rohan Saxena, Executive Director, MP Industrial Dev Corp, Mr. Prashant Singh Baghel, Joint Director, Tourism Department, Mr. Ram Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director, MP Tourism Board, Mr. Nand Kumaram, IAS, MD, MPSEDC, and Mr. Anurag Verma, IAS, Executive Director, MPIDC.
