India Inc’s Outward FDI To $1.93 Billion In March: RBI Data
Indi INC’s outward FDI in March 2021 reached USD 1.93 billion as per the RBI data. Domestic organizations had invested USD 3.86 billion as outward FDI in the month ago in March 2020. In the previous month, the OFDI was USD 1.95 billion. Indian investors committed to their foreign joint ventures owned subsidiaries in March, whereas USD 1.15 billion was insurance of guarantees. Rest USD 413.25 billion was through the loan, and USD 363.54 billion was through equity capital. The significant investors Bharti Airtel limited USD 750 billion in an owned unit pharma Lupin Ltd USD 250 billion in JV in the USA, SRF ltd USD 83.83 billion in a wholly-owned subsidiary in the Netherlands. Mahindra & Mahindra invested USD 84.52 billion in Mauritius and the Indian Hotel Ltd USD 59.59 billion wholly-owned subsidiaries in the Netherlands. The RBI stated the data is temporary and can be modified by the authorized dealer bank’s online reporting.
